Empower Health & Hormones was founded with a commitment to patient empowerment and shared decision making, putting you, the patient, at the center. We are based in Louisville, KY and serve women, transgender individuals, and the LGBTQI+ community across Kentucky and beyond. We specialize in gynecologic health, sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain, gender-affirming hormone therapy, perimenopause, and menopause care.

Jessica Deis is a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) with over twelve years of healthcare experience. Throughout her career, Jessica has demonstrated unwavering dedication to providing trauma-informed care and supporting people during some of their most vulnerable moments.
A Career Rooted in Advocacy and Compassion
Jessica’s professional journey spans a variety of healthcare settings, from low volume community birth to large academic medical facilities and Title X clinics. This diverse experience has shaped her ability to meet the unique needs of patients across different backgrounds and circumstances. Whether caring for people during pregnancy, guiding them through childbirth, or addressing sensitive reproductive health issues, Jessica brings a deep sense of empathy and expertise to her practice.
As a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, Jessica has spent nearly a decade providing critical medical and forensic care to survivors of sexual violence. Her compassionate approach prioritizes patient safety, dignity, and empowerment while ensuring thorough documentation and evidence collection to support survivors in their healing and pursuit of justice.

Jessica’s practice philosophy centers on delivering holistic, evidence-based care while honoring the individuality and autonomy of every patient. She excels in areas such as menopause and gender affirming hormone managment, family planning, sexual health, gynecological care, and trauma-informed services. Jessica is driven by a mission to educate, advocate for, and empower her patients, ensuring they have the knowledge and support to make informed decisions about their health.

Outside of her clinical work, Jessica is passionate about advocating for underserved populations, mentoring aspiring healthcare professionals, and staying at the forefront of advancements in sexual and reproductive health. She also enjoys fiber arts, airplanes, water sports and travel which help her maintain balance and stay inspired.
